Reducing Waste As always there is the potential for a lot of trash. As has been done in the past, let's do away with paper paper plates, plastic silverware, and cups! Each camper will be responsible for their own drinking vessels. We recommend one for cold drinks and one for hot (coffee & hot chocolate). You could just bring a sport bottle that could be used around camp and during the bike ride. The pack has reusable plates and silverware which can be used for meals.
Rules of the Creeper Trail Let's be responsible and safe Creeper citizens this weekend! There are rules for the Creeper trail so please read and review with your family. Here's a recap and some additional thoughts...
Do not ride recklessly. Keep your bike under control.
When passing walkers and bikers, SLOW DOWN, and let them know you are passing (call out: "passing on your left!")
When stopping along the trail, get your bikes completely off the trail.
Parents are responsible for their kids. With a large group of people with varying levels and interests we will get separated within the first 100 yards of the 17 mile journey. You might devise a buddy system and/or plan to meet at the end in the event you are separated from your kids.
